Sinyi Development Selected for LG17 Station Joint Development Project on the Tucheng-Shulin Line – January 6, 2025

Sinyi Development Co., Ltd. has been selected as the preferred applicant for the "LG17 Station Entrance A Joint Development Project," marking the first metro development project on the Tucheng-Shulin Line. The New Taipei City Department of Rapid Transit Systems (DRTS) announced today (January 6) that a contract is expected to be signed in early 2025, with construction scheduled to begin in 2026 and completion targeted within five years. This successful project will bring an estimated investment of NT$1.6 billion to the Shulin District, promoting economic growth and creating a vibrant, livable environment for the community.

According to Lee Cheng-An, Commissioner of the New Taipei City DRTS, the LG17 development site covers approximately 395 ping (about 1,306.72 square meters). The project will feature a 29-story residential tower above ground and five basement levels, totaling around 6,300 ping of floor area. The design will integrate the metro entrance with the building structure, allowing direct access from the third floor, enhancing passenger flow, and realizing the convenience of "seamless home-to-station" living. The project aims to achieve dual certifications: Silver-level Green Building and Silver-level Smart Building.

Commissioner Lee further stated that nine metro joint development projects are planned along the Tucheng-Shulin Line, projected to attract a total investment of approximately NT$37.3 billion. Following the successful tender of the LG17 project, the LG16 Station Entrance A and B projects have also been announced for tender, with bidding scheduled for March. In addition, LG15 Station Entrance B and LG19 Station Entrances A and B are expected to open for bidding in the first quarter of 2025. Three additional sites are undergoing urban planning adjustments. Through these nine developments, New Taipei City aims to boost metro ridership, stimulate regional growth, and expand the metro lifestyle network, further advancing the city's rail economy through a point-line-area development strategy.
